Ten years ago, PLACE opened the doors of Working Artists Ventura, the first sustainable arts community in the world. 

WAV was built by linking the arts, sustainabiltity, community, and affordability to ensure overall residential well being.

Ten years later, WAV is a community of hundreds of friends, family, neighbors, creators, makers and doers that all work to make a better world.

PLACE is so thankful for all of the residents that bring WAV to life. This year, we are showcasing their work in the arts to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the opening of their home and community.

The WAV community was founded on the belief that we all do better when we all do better. WAVians exemplify that.  

This community takes care of each other. They embody a spirit of connection, creativity and authenticity. It is because of all of each WAVian's commitment to building togetherness that the community thrives.
